Hat: Vintage, Dress: Vintage, Cardigan: Vintage, Belt: Forever New, Bag: Vintage, Nude tights: from my mum, Socks: some random local store, Boots: Vintage
This is what I wore to uni a few days ago (minus the hat + a bigger bag!) I was feeling pretty enthusiastic in doing some mass layering at 7am in the morning that day haha.
My belt is from forever new, socks are from a random store, and my nude tights are from my mum. Everything else is vintage! :):) The belt actually was a M/L (there were no S/M’s left), and I made it smaller by cutting off some of the elastic, and then sewing it back up again! A good trick for when there’s no smaller sizes left!
I am currently in the process of fixing up the side bar area of my blog. I’ve noticed that it is rather cluttered and disorganised, with headings that don’t even relate to what’s underneath it! Procrastination has gotten to the better of me, as this was something I always planned to fix but never got around to doing it.
My friend and I were browsing Urban Outfitters the other day, and I was somewhat tortured to view all these moustache items she was drooling over. She’s since won me over – check these out, they are seriously pretty funny!
From Top to bottom, left to right: Moustache mug, mirror clings (these stick onto your mirrors!), wallet with an moustache sticker for your photo, snowglobe (hahaha!! for those who worship their moustaches), bandaids, fingerstaches and a bendable party moustache! ♥
The other day, my sister told me that I was on the entry button of the Chictopia TeenVogue Wardrobe Remix competition! I didn’t know about it as the button never loaded on my computer when I entered the competition ..it would have felt funny if it did cause then I’d have to click a button with me on it to enter the competition LOL
Also, just wanted to share that I happen to be on the Dotti front page! So exciting, as Dotti is one of my fave chain stores :)
Today I reached 500 followers on my blog! I just want to say thankyou for following my posts, it really gives me motivation to keep things going! I’ll be doing a headband giveaway soon to coincide with the opening of my store, so be sure to look out for that in the next month-ish! Hopefully everything goes to plan so I don’t have to push it back again :):)
I’ve been receiving quite a few emails with questions ranging from ‘Where in Australia do you live’ to thrifting advice! So I thought I’d do a little ‘get to know me’ post in the next couple of weeks. If you have any questions about me/stuff you’d like me to answer, just leave a little note in the comments section, or email me at kisforkani@gmail.com! ♥
I hope everyone has a great weekend! I’ve actually caught a cold after going back to uni and will probs be doing nothing much interesting :)
PS. A shout out to Cool by Association: Thanks for tagging me, hopefully I’ll get round to answering your questions soon after I devour all this homework!
PPS. This has gotta be almost the longest blog post I’ve ever written!

Beret: Forever New, Blouse: Vintage, Shorts: Miss Shop, Nude tights: my mum’s stash, Socks: Topshop, Wedges: Novo, Bag: Vintage
My briefcase bag has become my saviour – I love how it’s got two loops to hold pens, and I really do only carry two pens to uni. I generally don’t bring too many things – just a notebook & my EEEPC. But if I need to bring textbooks, I normally carry them in a canvas bag so as to not put too much pressure on my shoulder :)
This shirt I thrifted.. I love. I will be wearing it as much as I can!!
Sorry for a lack of posts. I accidentally allowed my computer to catch a virus so I spent most of today trying to get rid of it! A couple of weeks ago I reformatted my computer, and completely overlooked downloading anti-virus programs. Whoops :( Anyhow, Spybot, Adaware, Crapcleaner & Avast have finally cleaned up my mistakes after a long few hours :):)
PS. I am wearing nude tights!! That’s why you can’t see any of my bruises on my legs hahaha
24.07.10 This was an opshop find on my recent roadtrip to Bendigo. I’ve got no idea what opshop it was, but it was in the city centre :) I also bought a couple of other lovely items, which are more suited for warmer weather, so I will share those with you when Spring arrives!
I am completely in love with this jumper. Please observe the beautiful embroidering on it. It looks as if no one’s worn it before as the sleeves are all in perfect condition :D

Headband: Miss Shop, Oversize jumper: Vintage, Tapestry vest: Vintage, Dress worn as skirt: Vintage, Tights: From a friend :), Socks: Bob Stewart, Brogues: Target, Bag: Vintage via Bluegrass Booty Vintage, Necklace: Diva
Also, I thought I’d share with you some recent places K is for KANI has been :)

Today after work I headed to Borders to play their ‘Solve the Quote and Win’ game thing :) The quote was
“Why is a raven like a writing desk?”
The book it was from was of course, Alice on Wonderland! I went around 2 o’clock, and it only the first 200 people get cool prizes. And guess what! There were still prizes left! I chose this book called Smalltown. It’s a beautiful hardcover book with photos of Australia in it. The lady working there was really helpful and brought the rest of the books down so that another winner & I could flip through it :)

Every winner also gets a $5 off voucher, (very kind of Borders). I spent it on a couple of magazines: Frankie & Yen :) Can’t wait to get my head into them! When I read magazines.. I read it in one go. Start to finish, 2 hours non-stop. Then I sulk because the new issue doesn’t come out til another month or too haha.
I’ve also found a new bag for uni, bought it at the markets a couple of weeks ago but forgot to share with you. It’s a lovely shade of brown, and is perfect for my days at uni :)
Lastly, I’ve been hard at work creating headbands. Here is a sneak peek at a special range of ruffle floral headbands that will eventually end up in store :) This will be a special limited edition range (though most of my things will be like this), and I’m especially excited for these ones as they are extremely delicate and girly :):):) I’m still yet to come up with a name for this range though!
