state rose garden

Wearing: MiuMiu sunglassses, Alice McCall ‘Four Queens’ cami, ASOS pleated skirt, ASOS suede heels, Louis Vuitton Alma BB bag, vintage ‘Connie’ bracelet, Marc Jacobs bangle, friendship bracelet from Alice Euphemia, Shashi ‘dillon’ ring, PinkLouLou horseshoe ring band & handmade rings. {Photos: Tom}

 When I heard there was a six acre rose garden just next to Mansion Hotel & Spa, I just knew we had to go visit! The State Rose Garden is a 5000+ rose garden just outside of Werribee Park and is such a beautiful gem. The garden closes 4:30PM on weekdays and on the first day we visited, we almost forgot of this closing time and frantically spent just ten minutes of our time simply taking photos (as above). Luckily we did not end up getting locked in. The next day we decided to visit the gardens properly and ended up having a picnic under some nearby shade whilst enjoying the view from afar. I was so glad to shoot some Alice McCall here and was so happy that this look seemed to fit so seamlessly with the scenery here. The cream and green seemed to fit in quite well despite the somewhat busy background. Having four parrots printed on your top also feels so appropriate for when you are walking down the paths of a rose filled garden – the sheer shell of it was also great for a warm Summer’s day. I accessorised this look with too many of my favourite gold jewellery pieces (two bracelets which I just love & were birthday gifts from a couple of friends – thank you!), the outfit post debut of my LV Alma BB & my MiuMiu sunnies.. surrounded by the overflowing amount of rose blooms which made me want to pick them all off and make myself a flower crown though of course that was not appropriate at all!

    I remember coming here when I was really little! It’s been years since I last visited though and this post has definitely reminded me of how pretty the garden is! I can probably stop by the rose garden any time though since I only live about 10 minutes away from it haha.

    The Alice McCall top is gorgeous by the way!
