THE END OF THE UNIVERSITY ERA

It’s been five and a half years in the making but this chapter has finally come to an end. It’s one of the happiest days of my life today, thanks to Monash WES delivering the sunshine-sweet news this morning that I’ve just passed the last lot of my law exams! I haven’t really told many people that this semester was meant to be my last semester at uni, because I didn’t want to announce it prematurely or jinx myself and I’ve been too scared to even think about it for the same reasons too. My original intention was to finish my degrees at the end of this year however in a moment of ambitious thinking early last year, I made a last minute decision to fast-track my degree by studying non-stop through summer semester A, semester 1, winter semester, semester 2, summer A & summer B, followed by semester 1. I have never studied so hard in my life and prior to that I was under loading for a good two years. Looking back, I would never recommend anyone to do what I did. The stress and lack of work-study-life balance was so, so not worth it. However, I feel so relieved that it’s finally over & I have just applied to graduate from my Bachelor of Laws & Bachelor of Commerce!

I started this blog when I started uni and what a journey both have been so far. Thank you all for bringing such positive vibes when I’ve been stressing out about exams around here and thank you for always popping by even though I periodically disappear during the end of each and every semester. And of course, so much gratitude too for the support from Tom and my beautiful family & friends I’ve made at uni over the past five and half years.

In about a month’s time, Tom & I will be heading to Europe for some time, where we’re excited to take you on a photographic journey with us through some beautiful coastal towns and sights we are excited to visit. Though being a lawyer is unlikely on my life plan, I’m excited to see what this journey brings next. There are so many dreams and adventures that have been waiting patiently to be chased. But for now, I’m going to sit here in disbelief for just a moment longer, adjusting to the fact that I’ll never have to read a dissenting judgment, open a case commentary book or sit an exam ever again :-)

Alright, this calls for a celebration … Hard work & effort does pay off, not only it brings a sense of rewarding and achievement feeling , but it also is an honor to oneself, a successful climb towards the highest peak of the mountain is never easy, but with determination and persistent and just a tad little luck … You did it! Congratulations! :)

    Hi Connie!

First of all, I’d like to congratulate you for a job well done! It’s amazing how you’re able to juggle studies and business and blogging and love life and all other things. And to study non-stop to finish your degree/s ahead of your original plan? Such an exceptional feat! You’re definitely an example of how courage, determination, and hard work lead to achieving one’s goals.

It seems like yesterday when I stumbled upon your blog. K Is For Kani was one of the first blogs I read (and been reading to up to now). You’ve gotten a lot of achievements (e.g. fashion ambassador, face of different labels/brands, etc.) but it’s nice see that K Is For Kani still embodies that simple, happy, genuine, fun-loving girl I first saw in 2010.

Thank you for being an inspiration and a role model. And thank you for sharing your life with us!

Can’t wait for your next adventures!

    Much love,

    Pamella

P.S. Sorry for such a long comment.

      Hey Pamella,

Thanks so much for your sweet comment! Haha I basically got sick of going to uni every single day for so many years so it was good motivation to hurry myself up and I’m so glad I’ve finally made it because there was a part of me that thought I might not haha. Thanks so much for following me on this journey over here, it’s been crazy! I had no idea what I was in for when I first started in 2010 .. Instagram wasn’t even around back then! Thank you so much for all your support, you make my days super sweet and motivate me to continue bringing great content online to you :-) Thank you Pamella!!
