Yippee I’m back in Melbourne, time to get all my posts organised and up! It was such a dreary start to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia this year. I’ve never associated Sydney with rain however it rained as we walked across the tarmac at Sydney airport and it continued to rain all week when I was up for MBFWA.
I picked up this Josh Goot puffer vest the week before at the Chapel St sample sale and brought it to Sydney with me as my only piece of outerwear. Day #1 turned out to be freezing and with a suitcase of all sorts of separates but no looks planned, I’m so glad that I was able to pull together a couple of basic pieces to go with the crazy print of this vest.
Jysla and I shot these photos under cover before Carla Zampatti – by luck I remembered to pack an umbrella (I forgot last year) however no umbrella was big enough to stop us from getting drenched in the torrential weather as we climbed out of the taxi on Sunday afternoon :’-)

One crazy 24 hours is about to begin! I can’t decide what’s more important to do right now, pack for Sydney or cram in some last minute revision for an assessment tomorrow. After wasting too much time contemplating, I have ended up here, getting just one more post up before I sleep, frantically pack and cram last minute revision (what I get for blogging right now..), drive to uni, smash (I hope) that assessment, drive as fast as I can within the speed limit to get home, get changed, make my way to the H&M launch party (!!), run home and catch an early morning flight to Sydney. I am so excited to see H&M finally hit Australia and the fact that they are opening their first store in Melbourne is 100 times exciting! Hopefully the introduction of H&M and Uniqlo (also opening in a couple of weeks) will mean that more international chains will soon warm up to the idea of visiting our shores. Perhaps a COS in Melbourne, H&M? :-)
