Oh how time flies! This gorgeous editorial for the Polka Dot Bride wedding site featuring Saasha B from Chadwick Models arrived in my inbox more than a week ago and I’ve only just found the time to share it with you all. Featuring my other labour of love, my little label, as well as a host of other Australian designers in the most stunning and alluring bridal lingerie shoot. I’m so happy to see my rustic love hair wreath featured in this shoot, it’s one of my store’s absolute best sellers and has always been a favourite amongst brides. Thank you to the entire team for producing such beautiful images and for capturing my flowers in such an elegant light, I’m in love.

New on www.kisforkani.etsy.com

My latest shop update is a selection of floral pins and clips which you can clip into your summer dos! I just love the effortless beauty of nature and was inspired to put together pieces that look as if I have taken a slice from a garden and turned it into a clip. Butterflies are something I am very excited to bring into the store and I love how they dance around the flowers so naturally. They’re a change from the big statement headpieces and are a simple, elegant way to decorate your hair – it’s so surprising how prettying up your locks with a few floral pins can finish your look. One of my favourite ways to wear these pins is to clip them like a waterfall down the side of your hair. Super simple and will instantly add a pop of colour to your hair.

I’m just letting my lovely readers know also that I have a special Christmas coupon available at the moment – spend $50US on www.kisforkani.etsy.com and enter ‘CHRISTMAS10′ for 10% off your entire order. This ends in just under two days – 19/12/13. This date is also the cut off for all Australian Christmas orders so come make someone’s heart flutter with a touch of nature – swing by my shop to see what’s new :-)

I’m so excited to let you know that I can now share the details of the special event which my floral headpieces will be a part of starting from next week. From Thursday 28th November to Thursday 12th December, a selection of my designs will be displayed at 74 Castlereagh St Sydney, in the very heart of the CBD and right next to Westfield Sydney.

My floral headpieces are being displayed as part of a special Etsy Christmas Pop up shop - Etsy HQ has invited a small team of curators to bring together a select group of local designers & shop owners to display their designs. Over the coming fortnight, The pop up shop will host one of a kind gifts ranging from jewellery, art, fashion and vintage. Those browsing at the pop up shop can make fast and easy purchases assisted by Etsy staff who will be on hand to help you place your order with their iPads. There will also be craft workshops, evening cocktails and even free haircuts as well!

Whilst it’s a shame it’s not in my beautiful hometown of Melbourne, I’m over the moon knowing they’ll be in good hands up in Sydney. To think they’ll also be in the heart of Sydney just 100m from Pitt St Mall is so surreal. I myself could never afford to open up shop (even if for two weeks) in such a high foot traffic location so I’m beyond thankful to have been given the opportunity to be a part of  such an amazing event.

I know a lot of you would love it if you could try on different pieces to see which styles fit your hair best – so I’ve sent up to Sydney a great mix of pieces so you can get a feel of every style I make – whether it is a statement flower crown headband, a dainty hair wreath or one of my classic rose crowns. And just in time, I have worked day and night for the past week to get all my new listings up before the launch of the pop up shop. So if you find something you like, you’ll now have almost hundred new pieces to choose from online :-)
