I’ve never been one to wear just one colour, but that’s exactly what I did on the Friday of MBFWA. To be honest, I had nothing planned to wear that day and I was so grateful to have Ebony’s beautiful ruffle sleeved wool crop top on hand to work with and even more grateful to have Claire lend me her amazing Lover corduroy shorts. I didn’t bring enough clothes, which doesn’t make sense now that I look back, considering I was 13kg over my luggage limit on my way back and had to ask Marg to help me post those 13kg the following week. I couldn’t help but keep with the theme and bring out my oxblood lace up boots but broke it up with some gold accessories. Though the nail colour, was a coincidence. I’m obviously a fan of the colour! I bought this collar necklace on a whim at the Topshop flagship store in London, which by the way, is the hugest non-department store I have ever been into. It’s about the size of a suburban Myer/David Jones and has five levels. One level dedicated solely (excuse my unintentional pun) to shoes & concession brands. One level dedicated to bags and accessories. One level dedicated to Topshop and two more above to Topman. Crazy stuff. Anyway amongst browsing different accessories in their thousands (I swear, thousands) I picked out this simple gold metal collar necklace on my last day at London – which of course, I dedicated as fully as possible, to shopping on Oxford St <3

One of the designers from the New Generation show, Ebony of Little Gracie, kindly offered me a few pieces to wear during MBFWA. Of course, I gravitated towards one of her prettily green dresses. I couldn’t help but fall in love with the creased pleating, ruffle-tiered one shoulder number with the most voluminous full skirt. This dress had me smiling, shaking and spinning around in a silly manner all day as I just really liked the skirt. I decided to compliment the femininity of the dress by wearing it with one of my woodland inspired headbands – I designed this one especially for my sister’s formal and thought I would borrow it for MBFWA. Lucky I brought it along as it was the perfect hair accessory for this dress, though this outfit does kind of make me feel like a flowering tree – flowers in my hair, green ‘leaves’ and brown ‘tree trunk boots’ – oh, my imagination.
